Hi, SOFLY hearts ♥️.

I hope you are having an awesome Women’s History Month.

When I see women I see strength. Especially their inner strength. The kind of strength that will build machines and the kind of strength that will build people. This post is dedicated to the women who give us power through their spirits.

Youth inspire me everyday. And a few days ago, last Friday, was no different. My youth talked to me about the strength they see in the women -or girls- around them.

Here are some of the things they see:

About My mother– “When she has her own problems she will get up from it and still take care of others.” “She is respectful in any situation. Even when people are disrespectful to her she will respond with respect. It may be a witty comeback but it is still respectful and smart. She is really intelligent and knows a lot.”

(The start of this next comment was, “History is important and repeats itself.”)

About My god mom– “She is everything to me.” “She was phenomenal. I remember believing she was God because she treated me so well and with love. She took care of me. She was so strong.” “I would make a mistake as a child but she would take the time to talk with me and show me I could do better. Always telling me to just be my best. She told me not to worry about what other people are doing.”

This youth went on to say…

“History repeats itself because I see a lot of my god mom in Miracle. So phenomenal. She shows me that same kind of love. She is a smart and wise woman who knows what she wants in life.”

(You never know what people may see in you. Sometimes they see what you are capable of before you even get to it.)

About My mom– “My mother had me at a young age, she had to learn to grow fast for herself and me. She is the strongest influence in my life. She is always open for me to talk to her.” “My mother’s strength isn’t about what she wants to do but it comes from what she has to do for her family. Love plays a good part in that strength. She will make sure things get done no matter the price she has to pay. It’s the sacrifice.”

About girls in school– from the fifth grader who had something to say, “You know when girls always think they are right, even when they’re not (?) I just let them win because they don’t give up. I always have to say ok, ok you got it.”

The strength of women, the strength of any person, is simply yet powerfully –their will.

To the women and girls everywhere, your strength is honored here.

Hearts, please tell the women or girls in your life what you see in them.

Much Love
