I get excited when I see what you do with your fashion. What you wear is a cool conversation without you saying a word. 

But you know what’s even better than fashion? The other f word. Faith. Your faith is what you believe in… Actually… Faith is believing there is a God.

I really got into faith the same time I got into fashion. I was young. Like 10. 

It’s true when people say the best fashion is street fashion. It’s the way people wear their clothes in city neighborhoods. I had my J’s that I wore with jeans and a Looney Tunes jacket, or with a dress. I didn’t mind trying clothes in different ways. Or wearing cute cowboy boots with my green plaid school uniform. It’s all in how you play with clothes and how you make it feel.

It’s also true that I had a mother who taught me about God and faith. So I liked having faith too. It made me feel smart. Like I had a secret to life. Even as a little girl I knew I needed God’s love. There were things I didn’t talk about with other people, things that only God could help me with and teach me. God was something I couldn’t even see but I knew had to be real. 

And there I was, a young girl with faith and fashion. A mix master is someone that wears them both.

Don’t let anyone tell you that God ain’t real and faith is just for church. That’s not cool. Try faith for yourself. Close your eyes and ask for it. You’re gonna be surprised to know just how special God is.
