Ok, I am not really saying you shouldn’t wear this t-shirt. It does look cool. I am saying not to wear this statement: Good Person Bad Decisions. Nobody wants to be a bad person. Even if you think you do, deep down that’s really not what you want to be. If someone tells you otherwise, they are probably not your friend so don’t listen to them.

I asked a few of my youth if they agreed with the statement -before I told them if I agreed with it or not. This is what I heard one of them say… [I think everyone is a good person at heart but we all make decisions that aren’t always the best and after we do them we can’t change them all we can do is learn from them and make better ones in the future.] After this youth shared that with me I had him text it to me so I could have it forever and look back at it.

My thoughts exactly. I guess it’s true. Great minds think alike. This smart guy happens to be my nephew.

Another youth summed up her thoughts on the statement in a quote. Well she didn’t know it was a quote but it was so good I had to turn it into one. Boom.
If you want to know what she said, check it out under the ‘Quote of the week’ link.

A lot of times bad decisions are quick responses in situations that we didn’t have a chance to think through. Or, we thought about it and still decided to do exactly what we felt. We didn’t care about how it may make someone else feel or how we would feel about it later. Carelessness is not our friend either. (A reference to what I mentioned at the beginning of this post.)

Being a good person and making bad decisions are not different things though. I want to be clear. Our decisions are very much what makes us who we are, if only for that moment. Those decisions that turn into moments, and if done over and over again, will turn into you (and me). Let’s be aware of our decisions. Let’s make good ones. God gives us the ability to do this.

And I should find a new t-shirt.

-Much Love
